Weekend of Wellness 2012:
Last year we began a one-day event at the beginning of a new year where we could focus on ourselves, our health and our well being. After much planning, a group of us gathered together to learn from local experts about health, nutrition, fitness, and overall wellness. This event was the first step to a realization of a future dream - to help others realize the impact of preventative medicine as well as the physical, psychological, and spiritual effects associated with health, food and fitness.

Today, I'm excited to tell you about our 2nd Annual Weekend of Wellness, Saturday, January 21st.

This year we're grateful to host Elaine M. Pace, a cancer survivor and President of Sanoviv Medical Institute. Elaine has a trying, tear-jerking and wonderful story of how cancer plagued her family and her own experiences overcoming it. She'll be sharing a bit about this as well as her experience in directing one of the world's leading hospitals in their vision of holistic medicine. She's a Harvard graduate and former CEO of two large non-profit organizations, and we're so very blessed to have her join us for this event.

Of course, there will be hands-on breakout sessions with a group of experts. We'll have the opportunity to learn, sweat a little, and “get a bunch of freebies”. We'll enjoy deliciously prepared organic food and juices from local food artisans as well as freshly roasted coffee from our friends in Seattle. In addition, we’ll be welcoming some wonderful sponsors including Festival Foods, The Kroc Center, Sanoviv and others who have come together to make this day a success.
